This Origanum Vulgare is commonly known as oregano or wild marjoram, one of the most common and popular herbs. This is a bushy, woody and branched perennial plant that has many benefits in culinary and is used as ornamental too. Origanum has very strong scented leaves and decorated with white, pink, or purple flowers. These plants are easy to grow in plenty of sunlight and in well-drained soil. It has good heat and drought tolerance and thus needs less maintenance. The best flavour in the leaves usually occurs just prior to blooming.

How to Sow: |
Sow from Sep - Oct or Feb - Jun, in full sun with well-drained, light soil. Start sowing your seeds indoor in a tray and cover with a plastic lid until germinated. Germination usually takes 1 - 2 weeks. Once large enough plant around 30cm apart to allow for growth. |
