How to Sow: |
Sow your seeds from February to April indoors into moist free draining compost and Cold Stratify. Seal in a plastic bag and chill at 3-5ºC for 2 weeks. Then propagate at 18-21ºC. Germination takes 14-21 days. When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings to 8cm pots and grow on in cooler conditions. Once danger of frost has passed, acclimatise and plant out at 30 cm spacing after danger of frost has passed. Alternatively, sow the seeds in situ in late spring. |
