Kale Redbor F1 Seeds (AGM)
Vegetable Seeds from Sow Seeds Ltd
Kale Redbor F1 is one of the most beautiful Kale we grow.
It produces mountains of colourful, curly leaved Kale with its blue-green leaves with red veins and stems in early summer that soon change through to a glorious purplish aubergine red as the weather cools. This variety could easily grace the ornamental garden but looks fabulous & brightens up the veg patch too, especially through the depths of winter where it will stand all winter long!
Kale Redbor F1 produces very curly, tasty, mild and crisp leaves. It is an excellent Kale that can be picked whilst at baby leaf size for salad production, left to mature to about 15cm long and treated as a cut & come again variety or cut as a whole head. A single plant can be productive for 6 months so fresh flavoursome pickings are never far away.
Kale has been touted as one of the superfoods because its highly nutritious and what could be better and more nutritious than growing your own at a fraction of the cost of shop bought and can from plot to plate in minutes.
The RHS awarded an AGM in 1999 with very positive comments about Kale Redbor F1 - a tall plant with open habit, attractive purple, nicely curled leaves and a good flavour. We highly recommend it too!
