Chilli Peppers 'Turkish Pickling' are small conical shaped peppers with a medium to hot heat level. They originate from Turkey where a side dish of pickles accompanies most main meals and these pods are perfect pickling peppers with a good flavour.
Chilli Pepper Turkish Pickling pods are usually picked when light yellow/green and unripe rather than left to mature to a bright red although they can be eaten when red and fully ripe too. The plants are compact and produce a high yield of peppers fairly early in the season.
Chilli Pepper ‘Turkish Pickling’ are pickled with a short stem left on and eaten by holding the stem and pulling the pickled pepper through the front teeth – ooh er hot!
