Vegetable Seeds from Sow Seeds Ltd
Landcress also known as American Land Cress is a quick to crop salad type leaf that only takes between 7-8 weeks to begin cropping. It has a similar peppery flavour to watercress and is often used as a substitute for watercress in recipes but it is much easier to grow.
Landcress should be picked when young and tender for the best flavour and this encourages lots of new leaves to grow. It makes an ideal cut and come again variety that can be harvested all year round with the use of a cloche/greenhouse.
Landcress is great added to salads, it peps up a sandwich and is a useful substitute for watercress. It is an easy to grow salad type leaf that is rich in vitamins and has the potential to produce fresh tasty leaves all year round from a few successional sowings.
