Vegetable Seeds from Sow Seeds Ltd
Dwarf French Bean Stanley is a cracking little plant, producing masses of long, straight pods (14cm x 1cm) and top quality french beans. It produces white flowers and the green pods are filled with white seeds.
The dwarf plant requires little staking, growing to about 45cm tall. Is quick to crop and is suitable for early or late planting. It is also disease resistant to Halo Blight & Anthranose.

|When to Sow:||
April indoors/under cloches, May to mid-July outdoors
|How to Sow:||
Indoors - Sow a single bean seed 40mm deep into a root trainer or 8cm pot filled with compost. Water well and maintain a consistent temperature betwen 12-25°C, to germinate. Germination takes 7-10 days.
Outdoors - 2 weeks prior to sowing outside rake in an all purpose general fertiliser.
Direct sow after the last frosts have passed from mid May to July. Sow 2 seeds together 50mm deep, 25cm apart. If in rows allow 45cm between rows. Water well until germination occurs, then thin to strongest plant.
Minimal required support using canes and maybe netting if you wish. Keep moist and the area weed free.
|Harvest:||June to October. Regularly pick beans to maintain cropping and pick before you can see the bean shape inside to get the best bean.|
