Cut Flower Seeds from Sow Seeds Ltd
Sunflower Sunrich Orange F1 makes a fabulous cut flower with its gorgeous golden yellow/orange petals and rich dark chocolate brown centre.
The flower heads reach 13cm across and as it is a pollen free variety Sunrich Orange F1 will not shed pollen when cut. This sumptuous stunner is best cut just before the first ray of petals open and it can last up to 2 weeks in a vase.
Sunflower Sunrich Orange F1 grows to a height of 90-140cm tall and has a strong neck that helps to support the flower head. It is a non-branching variety so produces just one bloom per stem so to ensure a continuous supply of sunflowers, sow seeds successionally every 2-3 weeks or so through the season.
Sunflower is the common name, they are also known by their scientific name - Helianthus annuus which is Greek with ‘Helios’ meaning Sun and ‘anthos’ meaning flower and, just like a Van Gogh painting these Sunflowers make a beautiful picture.
