Cut Flower Seeds from Sow Seeds Ltd
Scabiosa caucasica Isaac House Hybrids is a specially developed mix of single white, lavender & blue flowers. The frilly flowers are 3-5cm large and have a pincushion like centre - it is sometimes called 'the pincushion flower'.
It is a hardy perennial and is hardy down to -18°C. In order for it to flower the same year it should be sown January-March. April-June sowings will not flower until the following year. Scabiosa caucasica Isaac House Hybrids is also great for attracting butterflies to the garden as it is full of nectar.
It makes an excellent long lasting cut flower and suits country cottage arrangements & mixes well with more contemporary ones.
