An easy to grow annual that flowers for a long time with rich velvety burgundy petals that look as beautiful in the garden as in a homegrown sumptuous floral arrangement.
It's a real star performer and makes the perfect cut flower with sturdy stems that reach 60cm and lasts up to 2 weeks in a vase. An excellent 'cut & come again' variety that benefits from regular cutting & deadheading as this encourages it to continue flowering from July right through til October.
Rudbeckia Cherry Brandy dark burgundy flowers contrast well with other strong colours like orange Calendulas, yellow Sunflowers or the zingy green foliage of Nicotiana Lime Green or Bupleurum.
It suits planting in bold drifts in the garden synonymous with 'Prairie Style' planting and so goes really well with grasses.
This nectar rich lovely is adored by bees & butterflies too!

|When to Sow:||Mid February - April undercover.|
|Site Conditions:||Sunny, well drained, moist.|
|How to Sow:||Sow seed into seed trays and lightly cover with vermiculite. Water & keep undercover at 18°C. Germination will take 2-3 weeks. Prick out seedlings when large enough to handle into 9cm pots. Transfer to final position when risk of frost has passed and after a period of 3-4 days 'hardening off' late May.|
