Chilli Seeds from Sow Seeds Ltd
Joe's Long Cayenne Chilli plants produce lots of very long thin-fleshed pods that reach up to a ruler length 30cm long by a slender 1cm wide and the peppers taper to a sharp point.
The chillies mature from dark green to red and have a medium heat level reaching between 15,000 - 20,000 SHU. Joe's Long Cayenne Chilli Pepper seeds are a relatively easy chilli to grow. The gangly plants reach up to 1m tall and may require some support as they can become rather top heavy with lots of chilli peppers.
Joe's Long Chilli peppers are great to use fresh but also dry very easily and so make excellent 'ristas.' They are said to originate from the Calabria region of Italy and if you like a competition challenge a mate to see who can grow the longest!
