Vegetable Seeds from Sow Seeds Ltd
French Bean Valdor is a dwarf variety that produces pencil slim, round golden yellow pods. The French Beans are crisp with a firm texture and reach between 6-8mm in diameter by 12 cm long.
They are at their best when picked young before the beans inside begin to show. By growing French Beans at home you can ensure the pods are picked when at the peak of perfection and the Beans break in two with a snap rather then bending. This variety does not lose its yellow colour when cooked so makes for an attractive addition to dinner plates.
As a dwarf variety French Bean Wax Valdor only reaches 50cm tall and although a late cropper it will continue to crop for a long time. It will do well in a pot if space is limited in the plot.
