Cosmos bipinnatus ‘Xanthos’ has gorgeous 6cm wide pale, buttery yellow flowers with paler yellow almost white edges and a golden yellow centre. It is the only yellow Cosmos of its type available and is a new edition this year.

Cosmos bipinnatus ‘Xanthos’ is a shorter more compact variety than many other Cosmos’ reaching just 60cm tall so is great for the front of borders. It is an early flowerer and puts on a fabulous display from late June to September - just keep deadheading to encourage it to keep flowering.

Fleuroselect (The International Organisation for the Ornamental Plant Industry) awarded Cosmos bipinnatus Xanthos a 2016 Gold Medal!

‘The jury was unanimous that the achievement in introducing soft yellow into compact Cosmos is truly exceptional and gave this newcomer almost full marks. Cosmos bipinnatus Xanthos, an absolutely outstanding 2016 Gold Medal!’

‘Xanthos’ means yellow in Greek and this pretty Cosmos will make a lovely addition to any garden or make a stunning and unusual cut flower that will last in a vase!
