When to Sow: | January - March |
Site Conditions: | Full Sun & Moderately fertile, moist, well-drained soil |
How to Sow: |
Surface sow your seeds from September-March onto moist but well-drained seed compost without covering the seed. Propagate at 18-20ºC, germination takes 10-21 days. When the seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them to 8cm pots and grow on in cooler conditions for 10-15 days. Plant out after danger of frost has passed with a spacing of 50cm. When the plant develops 6 true leaves, pinch out growing stem to encourage a busier plant. Alternatively, seeds can be sown in Autumn and overwintered under glass for planting out the following Spring. |
