Anethum graveolens Mariska Cut Flower Information

Seed Quantity: Approx. 800 seeds per pack.
When to Sow: Direct sow April-September or undercover March.
Site Conditions: Full sun, well-drained, likes poor soil.
How to Sow: Direct sow seeds in a pre-watered drill 1cm deep, in rows 20-25cm apart. Thin seedlings to 20-25cm apart. May need support with canes or netting. Sow every 3-4 weeks for successional flowering. Can also be sown undercover (March) in small individual pots and transplanted out when risk of frost has passed. Dill dislikes root disturbance so be careful when transplanting root trainers are ideal. Plant every 20-25cm in rows 25cm apart.
Care: This is a half-hardy annual so added protection should be given if frosts expected. May require staking. Strip all but the top leaves & plunge the cut stems ends into boiling water for 20 seconds. They will last about 10 days in a vase.
Flower: 14 weeks from sowing Mid July till first frosts.
