Chilli Seeds from Sow Seeds Ltd
Aji Verde chilli peppers are native to the North coast of Peru and although ‘verde’ means ‘green’ in Spanish the pods will eventually mature to orange and red colours.
Aji Verde are mild in heat and reach about 7cm long by 1.5cm wide. They are normally eaten fresh and are also used to make sauces.
They are found growing wild in farmland or backyards and are rarely grown commercially, so maybe one to try for the authentic Peruvian cooking pot.
