Cut Flower Seeds from Sow Seeds Ltd
Delicate vivid blue semi-double flowers with dark crimson stamens & light green feathery foliage. Nigella hispanica is fast, easy to grow hardy annual that makes a pretty fresh cut flower (lasts 7-10 days in a vase) or a sculptural dried seed pod.
It grows to 30-40cm and flowers from June to August and is best sown direct as it dislikes being transplanted. Nigella hispanica is loved by bees & beneficial insects. Autumn sown seed will germinate to produce small plants that will overwinter and flower late spring to early summer. Spring sowings will flower the same year.
