Chilli Seeds from Sow Seeds Ltd
Numex Big Jim is one huge chilli and is recorded as the largest chilli grown by The Guinness Book of Records, measuring up to 30cm long by 6cm wide. However it's not just a novelty chilli, they are well worth growing for their smoky flavour with a mild to medium heat level.
Numex Big Jim has large, slightly flattened shaped pods that mature from dark green to light brown to a deep red. They have a delicious smoky flavour and due to their size & large cavity, they are great for stuffing with cheese, rice or meats. They also dry really well and have a shiny deep red papery finish and make great chilli flakes or powder.
Numex Big Jim is a relatively compact variety, growing to a height of about 60cm tall but due to the size, number and weight of the chillies it will require staking when laden with pods. It performs best when grown with the protection of a greenhouse although can be grown on outside in the UK but its performance may be reduced.
Numex Big Jim is one to impress your mates and to see if you can grow a record breaker!
