Squash 'Honey Bear' F1 AGM produces small dark green, ridged squashes on a compact plant. The fruits have rich orange flesh inside which is full of flavour & sweetness and is a great improvement on the taste of many older acorn squash varieties.
Squash 'Honey Bear' grows to about 1m in length and produces on average 3-5 fruits per plant. It is a compact plant and is suitable to grow in a container and trail up a teepee. It has high resistance to powdery mildew this disease does affect many acorn squashes as they mature late in the season when temperatures are lower and the weather is wetter.
Squash 'Honey Bear' received an AGM from the RHS in 2011 as it has very sweet & tasty flesh, stores well and has good resistance to powdery mildew. An excellent acorn squash variety to grow.
