Brussels Sprouts 'Cromwell' F1 produces dark green flavoursome sprouts on a tall sturdy stem. It is a mid-season cropping variety from early October to late November.
The leaves on the top of the Brussels can also be cooked and has a very mild sprout taste but only harvest a few of the leaves at a time and don't strip it fully. Cook like cabbage either shred and melt with butter & pepper or lightly steam.
