Product Description
Panicum violaceum is a lovely grass with wispy draping flowers tinged with purple.
It looks great with pastels as well as rich crimsons and reds and so will suit a cottage look or contemporary arrangement. It makes an ideal cut flower filler or dried flower and grows to 70cm tall.

| When to Sow: | Indoors February-March, Outdoors April-May |
| Site Conditions: | Full sun, well-drained soil. |
| How to Sow: | Direct sow seed thinly outside in drills 6mm deep and rows 30cm apart. Lightly cover with fine soil. Thin to 30-40cm apart when seedlings large enough. Germination can be erratic anything from 10-90 days. (Seeds can also be sown into plugs in February–March to grow on & then transplanted outside when fully rooted). |
| Care: | Keep watered in dry conditions and keep weed free. Remove any leaves below the water line in a vase. |
| Flowers: | July onwards depending on germination and weather. |
