Product Description

Cerinthe major Purpurascens Cut Flower Seeds x 8. An exotic looking but very easy to grow plant that is ideal in flower borders, containers and makes the most unusual cut flower. It reaches a height of 45cm by 30cm and it self-seeds easily but this could be viewed as an advantage. Lots of free Cerinthes!

It’s common name is ‘Honeywort’ and this could either be a reference to its attraction to bees who love the colour blue/purple so Cerinthes are positively buzzing in Summer or to its lovely fragrant scent.

Cerinthe major Purpurascens is a versatile eye-catching flower – it contrasts perfectly with rich red, cerise and vibrant orange but compliments more subtle shades of pink, yellows and whites beautifully. It’s thick greyish blue foliage acts as a wonderful foil for other star players too!
