Overview

Cornflower 'Blue Ball' is an easy to grow country cottage favourite with beautiful bright blue flowers. It makes an excellent cut flower that will last up to 7 days in a vase and is perfect for drying too!

Cornflower 'Blue Ball' is an hardy annual and will flower in the same year for spring sowings. Autumn sown seed will germinate to produce small plants that will overwinter and flower late spring to early summer.

Site conditions	Sunny, particularly likes sandy soil/not too fertile soil.
How to sow	Sow direct (Mar-May or Aug-Sept) into a well-prepared moist seedbed either into a drill 1cm deep or broadcast seed thinly into area & gently rake in. Thin out weaker seedlings to leave a plant every 30cm.
Care	Keep weed free particularly when seedlings.
